O.J. (aka The Juice) Simpson has finally received what many are referring to as retribution or payback for the murders of Nicole Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.  O.J. Simpson was acquitted of the murder charges in 1995 in the trial of the century in which one of the most quoted arguements was by his attorney Johnny Cochran when he stated that if the glove didn't fit that the jury must acquit.  Well 12 or 13 years go by and then O.J. somehow gets caught up in a possible kidnapping where he is supposedly trying to get back some of his memorabilia and items.

Apparently the story is that he had given many of his personal items like game footballs and other personal memorabilia and items to friends for holding to avoid them becoming property of the Goldmans whom are still trying to collect on a $35 or so million dollar judgement they won in a civil suit for the same crimes that O.J. was acquitted on.  Well, of course, O.J. botched up this "rescue" attempt of his to obtain his belongings and it may have actually been a well orchastrated setup.  It's just too weird that there were tape recorders and video footage that was almost immediately sold to popular celebrity news sites like TMZ and others.

Anyway, O.J. did not have the dream team behind him this time (he didn't have the money this time) and so he lost.  He would have lost in the earlier criminal case involving the double murder if it weren't for the dream team including Cochran.  So now that O.J. Simpson is sentenced to 16 years the question is will he appeal?  Well, I am sure he will try.  But regardless, the African American leaders and civil rights leaders that backed him in the past want nothing to do with him now and the American people, as a whole, now see him as a stupid criminal so I don't see him as having much luck on appeal. 

Basically, O.J. is screwed and he had better get used to his new digs - a small cell and probably solitary confinement for the duration of his jail term due to his celebrity status.  If he isn't held in a seperate wing or solitary the other inmates will be after him (either to kill him or to make him their new boyfriend).  Look at what happened to Jeffrey Dahmer - he was killed by other inmates during a cleaning duty.  I am sure that was arranged and the guards and all involved looked the other way while it occured and was allowed to happen.

O.J. Simpson was given a clean start (except for the lingering civil judgement owned by the Goldman family) with his acquittal.  He should have known that he could never get personally involved in another crime ever again because no prosecutor, judge or jury would let him get away with it a second time.  So he doesn't get put away for murder, but instead he gets put away for several counts of kidnapping and other counts.  He gets 16 years unless changed on appeal.  I am sure the Goldman family was joyous of this news and I am sure that Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman are smiling in heaven over this verdict.  O.J. Simpson finally got what he deserved.  As they say - "Kharma's a bitch - if you do bad things they will come back to you sooner or later."
